Chamber Music Connection

Playing in ensembles is an important part of a well-rounded music education. Ensemble work teaches students to listen to others, work cooperatively toward an end result, and be more sensitive to all aspects of their musicality, including pitch, tempo, dynamics and phrasing.

Those who register will be placed in ensembles according to age, ability, instrumentation and availability. The ensembles will be assigned music and a faculty coach and will rehearse for nine weeks culminating in a final performance.

Deadlines to register for chamber music are September 22 for the fall term and January 19 for the spring term. Adults and children with at least two years of prior study on their instruments are encouraged to participate.
